new scrapbooking techniques

There are many new tools and advanced techniques you can use to create your pages. Scrapbooking has even gone digital! This method uses your computer and a graphics or photo editing software. You can upload your pictures to your computer or scan your photos in. Photo editing programs allow you to do just about anything you want to change the appearance, size and enhancement of your images. The advantages include less mess and more control over your layouts. You can mix digital with traditional paper layouts as well. This is a new technique I have been experimenting with and really enjoy using it. I hope to add new information in the future about digital scrapbooking.

Before you begin...

Scrapbooking supplies can get out of hand if you are not properly organized. Before you know it, your materials will be spread out everywhere and this can be very time consuming when you need to find something. There are many storage items available that can organize your materials and make things much easier. Some useful items include stackable paper trays, hanging file folders, desktop carousels, embellishment jars, and photo storage boxes. You can make your own containers out of shoe boxes and label them as well. If you have the space, a scrapbooking desk and other scrapbooking furniture can provide a lot of storage for your supplies.
